"Welcome to the land of Tulsa, Oklahoma, where there are no heathens. This city is so desirable that once you enter, there's no way you will exit. That's what happened to Alex and Jessica. It was 6 years ago today to be exact. A little vacation renewed their lives with just one wrong turn."

It was sunny day in Miami. Jessica was at her beach house with her boyfriend Alex. Alex was the aggressive type. Muscles hanging over muscles, nice bronze skin, with black dreadlocks that even Lil Wayne would envy. Jessica was a petite, long, silky, brown-haired redbone. Alex was gazing out the window when JEssica walked up behind him and grabbed his waist.

"aren't you excited about you going on my animal family vacation?" She asked with a smile. Alex frowned, "you must be mistaken." He turned around to face Jessica. "I never agreed to go anywhere!" He walked outside, squishing hot sand between his toes, and dived in the distant ocean. Jessica ran to him.

"Why do you act this way?" her smile had turned to tears. Alex let out a huge sigh. He hated it when she cried.

"Alright," he said, "I'll come." Jessica was estatic. She jumped into the water, fully clothed, and hugged him.

"Just keep your mother away from me." he added. She told him to pack everything he needed that night because they would be leaving in the morning.

"Don't be late, Alex."

The next morning, around six, Alex met up with Jessica at her house. She was going to drive.

"Put your stuff in the trunk." She instructed. Alex did what he was told and took his place in the passenger's seat before her mother came out of the house. Jessica continued to put her things in the car while Alex decided to blast the radio. Ms. Smith burst through the screen door and ran to his window. She pecked on the glass with her wedding ring. Alex slowly rolled it down.

" Now, you listen here, son." Jessica's mom said. "If you want to go on this trip, you better behave. Do you hear me?" Alex nodded, rolled up the window and turned the radio max.

"What do you even see in him?" Ms. Smith asked her daughter.

Once everything was packed, everyone was ready. Jessica and Alex fastened their seatbelts and were on their way to Admire, Kansas. Through the first couple of hours, there was an arkward silence between the two of them. The radio was off and all that was heard was the slight purr of her yellow camaro's engine. They spoke silently.

"Alex, I'm really glad you came." She said while keeping her eyes on the road. Alex, fiddling with the map, gave her a warm smile. He pointed to their exit.

Hours went by, and they were lost. Jessica spotted a sign up ahead.

"Tulsa, Oklahoma?" The population was 326. It seemed as though it had been crossed out a few time. As tough as Alex appeared to be, he shook with fear. They saw a man in the distance. He was standing straight , shoulders back, not even moving. His lightwash denim overalls were dotted in paint and rips. They inched closer. His sandy hair almost looked dirty. It pertruded from the sides of a red trucker's hat. He didn't move when they pulled up beside him. Alex rolled down his window.

" Excuse me, sir." The mysterious man stared blankly ahead. It didn't even look like he was breathing.

"Aye, man. We need directions." Alex was getting upset. The man slowly turned his head to look into the car and laughed. Alex burst out os the car, and grabbed the man by his suspenders.

"That's a perty lady you got dere." He laughed again, louder this time.

"You keep your eyes off of her, you hear me?" Alex scowled.

"We were justa waiting on you!" The man kicked his legs wildly and Alex dropped him to his feet. "there's no turning back now!" The man resembled a hyennea as he walked back into town.

"Honey please get in the car" Jessica pleaded. She just wanted to get back on track. Alex jumped back into the pessanger and said nothing. Jessica slowly drove toward town.

As Jessica rode through that small town of Tulsa. She noticed that everyone acted the same as the overalled man. They stood, in front of small shacks and stared into oblivion. They looked like cardboard cutouts. She noticed that two women were pregnant. They seemed ready to pop. She went deeper into town. She was now in a forest. She saw two nooses hanging from the tallest treein the forest. That tree mesmerized her. She got out of the car and looked into it's branches. She stared at leaf upon leaf after leaf. The sun seemed to sprinkle glitter through the canopy. Alex got out of the car also. He stared. The tree started to speak.

"Come closer." It said. They obeyed. "Grab those ropes. I want you to be closer to me." They did. "Now put them around your neck, so we can be one." They followed the tree's instructions. Within minutes, they were breathless. Within minutes, two babies were born. Population 326.

"I told you Tulsa was tantalizing. THe only setback is that we Tulsans like traditions. We never like to swith things up. I'll invite you when my son is born. We have to keep everything exactly the same. I'm glad that boy didn't tear these overalls, these are my only pair! Haha!" The mysterious overalled man jumped into Jessica's car and drove into town, neverlooking back at the bodies as they transformed into branches.
